Michelin Power 5 Hypersport Motorcycle Tyres

Michelin Power 5 can almost be classed as a racing tyre in “road clothing”. Let’s be clear, it is a road tyre for those of you that like that really “aggressive” riding but can also be used for the occasional track day. For the sake of using a ratio or percentage to clarify that point, Michelin motorcycle tyres have defined it in this way, 90% Road and 10% Track.

There’s an optimum mixture of compound distribution for maximum grip on the road, with a silica compound and a void ratio for maximum safety in wet conditions and fast warm-up times. Carbon black shoulder compounds give enhanced front tyre maximum lean performance.There’s a grain d’orge in French, or barley corn in English, texture on the shoulders of these motorbike tyres to limit the slick areas and keep the performance of the tyre on a wet surface.
